The Dog Show is an evening of new work by Laura Arrington and Jesse Hewit. The work seeks to antagonize our contemporarily complicated systems of presenting and understanding ourselves. By using the dog as muse, we distill and re-approach our social environments through physicalizations of obsession, and simplicity. Dominant narratives of world events are flamboyantly collapsed and deflated, as we reconsider the beauty and intention behind expressions of violence, emotion, and wildness as social habit.
