Jonathan Reinis Productions is a frequent and successful collaborator with the Z Space Studio. Under the direction of founder Jonathan Reinis, this commercial production company has worked with the Z Space to produce some of our most well-traveled hits, including Josh Kornbluth's Love & Taxes and Ben Franklin: Unplugged and Marga Gomez's Los Big Names.

In 1982, Jonathan Reinis built Theatre on the Square in downtown San Francisco and operated it for over twenty years. He also refurbished an managed the Alcazar Theatre from 1979 to 1985. Mr. Reinis has produced more than 100 shows in the Bay Area, including Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues, Russell Simmons’s Def Poetry Jam, Dame Edna, Steve Martin’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Forever Tango, and John Leguizamo’s Freak. Freak, Forever Tango, Def Poetry Jam, and Dame Edna transferred to Broadway after their successful San Francisco runs. Mr. Reinis has a three-year relationship with the Z Space, during which time he and Z have co-produced the national tours of Josh Kornbluth’s Love & Taxes and Ben Franklin: Unplugged, and Marga Gomez’s Los Big Names.

Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play Talley’s Folly. He also presented Mikhail Baryshnikov’s White Oak Dance Project in Northern California, the premier production of Smuin Ballets/SF Dances with Songs, the Kirov Ballet’s original Nutcracker, Ballet Folklorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez, Stomp, Riverdance—The Show, Guys and Dolls, Fame: The Musical, and Dirty Blonde.
