An Off the Page Reading

October 10 | 7 PM on Z Space's Main Stage

Off the Page staged readings are the first step in developing a Word for Word production—taking a short story from the page to the stage. Come see the very first steps of our process, and, after the reading, let us know what you think! This is part of the 2016 Litquake Festival.  Word for Word stages excerpts from Litquake Barbary Coast Award honoree Maxine Hong Kingston's books The Woman Warrior and China Men.

Directed by Eugenie Chan, with audience conversation to follow.

Admission is free, reservations are strongly encouraged. Suggested donation of $15 per ticket—you can add a gift to Word for Word when reserving your tickets online, or make a cash contribution at the door. Want reserved seating at Z Space-based Off the Page performances? Make a gift of $125 in support of Word for Word and we'll save you seats up close! Contact Leah Barish at lbarish@zspace.org for more information.

WORD FOR WORD's 2016 OFF THE PAGE SERIES is made possible with the generous support of Daniel Handler and Lisa Brown as well as individual donors.

Word for Word is thrilled to be part of Litquake. The Litquake festival runs October 7-15, and that tickets and more info are available at litquake.org
