This organization invites elementary and middle
school teachers to submit proposals for art and music programs
that their schools are unable to fund.
Silicon Valley Community Foundation

This foundation offers a variety of support programs
including the Teachers Fund, which provides funding, support and
encouragement directly to public school teachers from Daly City
to Mountain View who champion change in their classrooms. Grants
have provided funding for curriculum materials, technology, field
trips, guest speakers and professional development.

The foundation usually collects grant applications
for their teacher aid program in January and May, making grants
in February and June respectively. This round of awards usually
ranges from $250 to $3,000, with exceptions for especially noteworthy
projects. Projects promote curricular and program enhancements
in areas such as special education, social studies, literacy,
music, technology, art, science, mathematics, film and journalism.
