THE COMPANION PIECE is a funny, moving, theatrically provocative new work from some of the Bay Area's most adventurous and respected experimental theater makers. On a large empty stage, night after night a vaudeville Headliner performs his long-since perfected act. Meanwhile, a performing Duo struggle to create their own perfect act. Through a series of attempts and failures, the Duo and Headliner grapple with questions of survival, success, and identity. Alternately hilarious and poignant as it shifts fluidly between reality and dreamscape, THE COMPANION PIECE is a unique theatrical experience not to be missed.
