Z Space is a cosmos of unique artists and interconnected communities who have been taking artistic risks in the Bay Area for eons—now in our beautiful home at Project Artaud. We are so blessed to have in our orbit amazing partner organizations, independent artists, producers, dancers, musicians, writers, designers, and of course our resident performance company Word for Word. But our universe would not continue to expand if it weren’t for audiences and supporters, like you.

We are so excited to celebrate our 30th birthday with a space-themed birthday benefit in support of Z Space and Word for Word. Come celebrate the last 30 years and raise a glass to the next 30 as we reveal our plans for the future at Z.

Featuring exciting performances by rock musical legends The Kilbanes, the Word for Word Core Company, comedian Baruch Porras-Hernandez, aerial artists Danielle Sandia Sexton and Helen Wicks, palm reader Michaela the Mystical, and of course our fabulous MC and resident clown – Sara Toby Moore.

As part of our main programming, we will be pitting our past leadership against our present leadership in an entirely HR-approved game show hosted by former Producing Director, Rose Oser. Will there be slime and ponchos involved? You’ll have to buy tickets to find out!

VOLUNTEER!

Interested in attending the event for free? Well, we need volunteers! Click below to sign up for an early, middle, or late volunteer shift. All shifts should last between 1 – 2 hours. Volunteers have access to the full party including dinner ticket, drinks, and after party. Thank you for considering a volunteer shift!

We’re turning 30 and are raising $30,000 to support the next 30 years! Please consider buying your tickets early to help us reach our goal before the event on November 16. All ticket prices are tax-deductible except for a small fair market value (FMV) associated with goods received.

After Party

You only turn 30 once! Let’s keep the party going. Come bust a move with DJ ET spinning on the Stiendler Stage as we turn our stage into a dance floor.

There is no FMV associated with our After Party Ticket making your ticket fully tax deductible.
