Salvador, born in the U.S., raised in Mexico; son of an American Indian mother and a Mexican father, comes to work in the fields and ranches around Santa Rosa. Hoping to meet his mother's family and make a new life in the U.S., he encounters both kindness and opportunism, as well as glimmers of hope. In Episode 2: After a day of work in the vineyards around Santa Rosa, Salvador begins to learn the ropes of day labor.
